International Baccalaureate Programme
The International Baccalaureate® aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment. These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.
IB Ambassadors Club
High school has a lot to offer and at DHS we have the best college prep program in the district. Students select the full IB Diploma course work in their 11th/12th grade years at DHS. This club is for those students in 9th and 10th grade who are considering that coursework. Our club meets monthly. We have 2 service projects each year, attend International Career Day at UTA in the Fall, attend the IB college fair in the spring and strive for 2 cultural experiences each year. This club is a great place to meet other students who are interested in an education that focuses on international mindedness, service and solving challenging issues
